Avatar
Avatar is a film, based on a new world, which contains Alien-like people (Na'vi) who are being overrun by the human government. Jake Sully, a human who is paralysed and a former marine, is transported into an Na'vi's body (as an Avatar) through his mind, so he can work for the government to take over and research into the Na'vi way of life. He does this by lying inside a tube while his mind and personality is transported into the specially-made Avatar body in Pandora. During Jake's work, he meets a Na'vi women in his Avatar's body and starts to get attached to not only her, but the people, their environment and their beliefs. The land in which the Na'vi's live, Pandora, has a large tree in the centre, which is called 'Home Tree' and is where most of their lives are based. The human government want to destroy this tree due to a rich source of an expensive mineral called Unobtanium which is under the tree. Jake has a change in heart after he falls in love with the Na'vi women in his Avatar body and decides that he no longer wants to work as one of the human government, but instead wants to help save Pandora with the Na'vi people. Jake's decision is frowned upon by the Colonel in charge and they try to stop him, however decide to give him one more chance to convince the Na'vi to move out of Pandora. The people of Pandora are angry with Jake and his partner for even asking them to move out of their homes and tie them up. The human start to invade and the battle begins. The human government set fire to the tree and as this is happening the Na'vi people forgive him and his partner and realise they want to help them, not their own rase. They let them go and as the Na'vi run to safety, the 'Home Tree' falls down. After the humans leave for the day, the Na'vi are devastated however decide to go into battle. Jake, however is furious with the government and goes back into his real body, along with his partner and get angry at the Colonel in charge. For this, they are locked up but escape (with some help from someone on the inside) just in time for battle again, against the human government. They fought hard, lost some people and eventually went on to win the battle.
